The Stairway by parkflavor The Stairway by parkflavor
Had to shoot up canyon yesterday at the subway since there was already direct sunlight hitting the classic side. If there is a glow shooting down the canyon in the summer, it's gone by 9:45am.

Your composition is lovely. I like the tall pine in the background to provide an idea of vertical height. And still, lovely colors and moving water is always a highlight for me.

For sure. did you do the overnight camping/hiking trip or go in from the back route?

There are two routes to the subway but they are both day trips. No camping is allowed in the area. I went from the bottom up, which is the easier way. The other route, through Russell Gulch (aka the top down) is still closed due to the high water levels. That way involved some rappelling and nine people were stranded there a month ago, prompting the authorities to close it until the water level subsides.
